Abstract submission

Participants are invited to submit abstracts of their scientific and professional work for a poster presentation. An unlimited number of abstracts may be submitted by each author. The deadline for abstract submission is 1^st May 2026.

Instructions for abstract submission

Abstracts should be submitted in English. The maximum word count is 300 (does not include the abstract title, authors' names and institutions). The summary should not contain tables, figures and references. The use of non-standard abbreviations should be avoided. The authors of the abstract should be listed with their full name and surname in the order in which they will appear in the printed version. All authors should have an assigned institution (department, institution).

The abstract should be structured according to the following subheadings:

• Introduction: hypothesis and aim 
• Materials and methods: description of samples/participants included in the study, methods used, statistical analysis
• Results: presentation of the obtained results with appropriate statistical indicators (P-value, confidence intervals etc.)
• Conclusion:  based on the results obtained and in accordance with the aim of the study.

The quality of the abstracts will be evaluated by the Scientific committee of the congress according to technical and scientific criteria:

• Preparation of the abstract according to the instructions
• Abstract title reflecting the topic or conclusion
• A clearly defined hypothesis and aim
• Systematically described samples/participants and materials/methods used
• Appropriate statistical analysis
• Results expressed with appropriate statistical indicators
• Conclusions derived from the results and in accordance to the aim/hypothesis
• Scientific and professional contribution to laboratory medicine

Accepted abstracts will be published in a special edition of the journal Biochemia Medica.
A paid participation fee for one of the abstract authors is mandatory for abstract publication.

Authors will be notified of acceptance or rejection of abstracts by 15^th July 2026.
Poster formatting instructions will be sent to authors after acceptance of the poster abstract.
